The service team at KOMPO has successfully completed a major overhaul of a tabletop pneumatic clipper, model KN-3S, for the Belovezhsky Meat Processing Plant.
The machine arrived at our facility in critical condition. However, thanks to the technical expertise of the KOMPO service team, the equipment has been fully restored and is ready for heavy-duty production lines once again.
Machine Condition: "BEFORE"
During the initial inspection, we found the clipper in a partially disassembled state. It had clearly been subjected to heavy use without proper maintenance:
- Missing Essential Components: The main pneumatic cylinder, control handles, pressure gauges, and air preparation units were completely missing.
- Mechanical Damage: The U-clip magazine was severely bent, and the magazine counterweight was lost.
- Pneumatic Failures: The main cylinder valve was out of order, and the air lines were severely damaged.
- Overall State: The main frame required geometric realignment, and several casing fasteners were missing.
The Restoration Process: What Was Done
To restore the clipper to factory specifications and a flawless appearance, we performed a comprehensive overhaul:
Mechanical & Bodywork:
- Performed precision frame alignment.
- Applied bead blasting (sandblasting) to strip away ingrained dirt, grease, and oxidation.
- Straightened and polished the U-clip magazine to guarantee seamless clip feeding.
- Replaced missing hardware with new casing screws and sleek protective caps.
Pneumatics & Core Components:
- Installed a brand-new operating block assembly.
- Built a fresh pneumatic system, including a new main cylinder, distributor valve, and a modern air preparation (FRL) unit.
- Replaced 100% of the pneumatic hoses.
- Installed high-efficiency silencers on valves to reduce noise levels during operation.
- Replaced the knife blade with a new one to ensure clean and precise casing cutting.
The Result & Value for the Client
Today, the refurbished KOMPO KN-3S looks and performs like a machine fresh off the assembly line. It is 100% ready for intense workloads at the Belovezhsky plant.
Why Choose Equipment Refurbishment over Replacement?
- 30% Cost Savings: Repairing and fully upgrading the KOMPO KN-3S costs, on average, 30% less than purchasing a brand-new equivalent machine.
- Factory-Fresh Performance: You receive a virtually new machine backed by a warranty—delivering optimal performance while significantly saving your CapEx budget.
